"Ethereum's transition to Proof-of-Stake makes staking yield a powerful compounding tool. Combining 4% staking APY with the 20% BNREF01 fee rebate creates a double-win for ETH accumulators."

My Take on ETH

When I first got into crypto, it was all about Bitcoin. Then I actually started looking into what Ethereum does and... it's kind of a different beast. Learn more about Ethereum's ecosystem on CoinGecko. Now I hold both.

Why I Added ETH to My Portfolio

Bitcoin is digital gold. Store of value, fixed supply, you know the pitch. Ethereum is more like owning infrastructure - all those DeFi apps, NFTs, most of Web3 runs on it.

I figured rather than betting on just one vision of crypto winning, why not own both? So I went roughly 60% BTC, 40% ETH.

How I Bought ETH

Same as Bitcoin - I use the spot market on Binance. ETH/USDT pair, limit orders when I'm patient, market orders when I just want in.

With the BNREF01 signup code, I get 20% back on fees. Not a huge amount on a single trade, but over months of DCA-ing it adds up.

The Staking Thing

Here's what I wasn't expecting: you can stake ETH on Binance and earn around 4% a year. It's not amazing, but hey, free ETH for doing basically nothing.

I put about half my ETH in staking. The other half I keep liquid in case I want to trade. You get something called BETH when you stake - it's basically a receipt that says "I have ETH staked." You can even trade BETH if you need liquidity early.

ETH vs BTC - My Observations

BTC moves like a store of value. More correlated to macro stuff - interest rates, dollar strength, etc.

ETH moves more with "crypto native" narratives. When DeFi is hot, ETH pumps. When there's a big NFT sale, ETH moves. It's more volatile but also more interesting if you're following the space.

Current Strategy

I DCA into both weekly. When ETH/BTC ratio is low (historically), I lean heavier into ETH. When it's high, I lean into BTC. Not trying to be too clever, just tilting the odds slightly.

The staking yield on ETH is a nice bonus. Basically getting paid to hold.

If you're setting up to buy either, BNREF01 gives you 20% off trading fees. Might as well.
