Options are powerful but complex. Start with small positions, learn the Greeks, and never risk more than you can afford to lose on a single trade.

BNREF01RegisterWhat Are Crypto Options?
Options give you the right (but not obligation) to buy or sell crypto at a specific price by a specific date.
Call option: Right to buy (bullish bet) Put option: Right to sell (bearish bet or hedge)
Why I Started Trading Options
I love BTC but holding it through 30% drawdowns is stressful. Options let me:
- Profit from price moves without full exposure
- Hedge my spot positions
- Make defined-risk bets on volatility
My Go-To Options Strategy
Buying Puts as Insurance
When I have $10k in BTC spot, I sometimes buy a put option with a $1k premium.
If BTC crashes 30%, my put gains $2-3k, offsetting some spot losses. If BTC pumps, I lose the $1k premium but my spot gains way more.
It's like insurance—you pay for peace of mind.
Selling Covered Calls
If I'm holding BTC and think it might chop sideways, I sell call options against my position.
I collect premium immediately. If BTC stays below the strike, I keep the premium and my BTC. If BTC rallies above, my BTC gets called away but I still profited.
The Greeks Matter
Options pricing depends on:
- Delta: How much the option price moves with the underlying
- Theta: Time decay (options lose value as expiry approaches)
- Vega: Sensitivity to volatility
Understanding these is crucial.
Fees on Binance Options
Options fees are typically 0.03% per side. On a $5k option position, that's just $1.50.
With BNREF01 referral code, I get 20% back on those fees too. Small but adds up for active traders.
